Reading for the Bright Future of our Discovery Center

Although I have been visiting the Discovery Center for years, both with my children and now my grandchildren, I have an ever increasing love and respect for the Center now that I have joined the Discovery Center Foundation Board. The Discovery Center gives our young people the opportunity to learn while having hands-on fun in their favorite exhibits.
We have all just experienced a crazy, difficult year. Everyone has struggled in his/her own way. The Discovery Center is no exception and has faced many financial challenges due to Covid restrictions. I want to help them make a lasting recovery, and I invite you to join me. I am pleased to be reading some inspiring children's literature, while reaching out to you for monetary support. Whether you give $5 or $500, I am most grateful for you help. I am reading two books. "Dreamers" written by Yuyi Morales is the story of a Mexican immigrant family and how the power of books helped them to feel settled in a new land. "Little Why", written by Jonny Lambert, is a story that demonstrates how special we are, each in our own unique way. They are beautiful books that have such relevance in our lives today.
