There is nothing more satisfying than sitting down to read a story to children. It allows them to travel to different destinations, or even different worlds, make friends of the characters in the books and sparks their imagination. It also inspires them to learn how to read which is a basic skill for education. The stories we heard as children still remain with us as adults and taps into our inner childhood. One of my favorite times at school was right after recess when our teacher would read us a chapter from a book. We could imagine what it looked like, what the characters were doing and we couldn't wait to find out what would happen. By supporting the Read-a-thon you can help inspire the love of reading in a child and help them on their reading adventures!
