Just like the Lorax, I speak for the trees but also The Discovery Center and the beautiful Story Garden. I am asking for your support in our fundraiser, this year's Read-a-Thon. I will be reading "The Lorax" by Dr. Seuss to kick off the Read-a-Thon at The Discovery Center on Friday, April 14, 2023. The Lorax is a favorite character in the Story Garden as he watches over the trees and the children. Please consider supporting The Discovery Center's programs and exhibits (both indoors and in the Story Garden) with a donation. The Discovery Center maintains the Story Garden which remains free to the public and is truly a treasure to the community.
Sharing and teaching children the love of books and children's literacy is a core component of The Discovery Center which is why a Read-a-Thon is so important to us. Please help us share the love of books and reading and support our programs and exhibits! As Dr. Seuss said so well through his character, The Lorax, "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."
Thank you for your support!

The Lorax tells us to respect the environment and all living creatures so that we can all protect the planet for our children, grandchildren and future generations. Join us on April 22, 2023 for EarthFest at Ross Park!
