Hi, friends and family! I'm Dannielle, and I love the Discovery Center! I brought my sons here when they were little, and now my grandson romps and plays through this imagination paradise. I've worked at the Four County Library System for 19 years, so books have been my vocation as well as my hobby, and with my musician friends we've paired many books with favorite old fiddle tunes. My plan is to share a couple of my favorite books from our years presenting "Fiddling with Books" at libraries throughout the region.
I hope you'll help me pitch in to reach my goal of $200 to help fund the Discovery Center's wonderful mission of education through play and experience and imagination. Years ago, the Discovery Center was a place I visited and explored as part of my graduate studies in Public History -- did you realize that this marvelous place of fun is actually a museum? It's true! It may seem like a place to play, but all the while, the Discovery Center enriches the lives of our children and builds community. Let's make sure it's always here for our children, and their children, and theirs!
