Hello Friends and Family,
I am part of a Read- A -Thon to benefit The Discovery Center!
As you already know, The Discovery Center is a very special place for me and has been for many years. Working in Kids Club our After-School program has taught me many life lessons over the years. It has also pushed me out of my comfort zone to become a role model for every child I had the pleasure of teaching. Being a part of these children's lives has left me knowing that we all will have the best-shared memories of The Discovery Center. These memories will always be apart of who I am and hopefully will stay in the minds of every child who has been a part of our family. I will happily help benefit the place I love any way that I can.
What is a Read-a-Thon? It is like a marathon of reading! We ask you to provide monetary support to a reader—ME—so I can make my fundraising goal. Each reader not only fund-raises, but we also create videos of ourselves reading one or more of our favorite children's books. These videos will then be compiled and streamed on YouTube on July 18 as part of a virtual reading marathon to support The Discovery Center.
Now, because the Discovery Center has acute financial needs, due to the pandemic, I am happy to help however I can. So, I am reading "POP" one of my classroom's favorite books to read over and over. Next, I am reaching out to YOU for your monetary support. Whether you can give $5 or $500, I am most grateful for your help. Thank you so very much!
