$348 raised

Ended Aug 8, 2020

The Discovery Center has always had a special place in my heart and was one of my favorite places to go in Binghamton as a child. Even today, taking my own kids there, I think I may have just as much fun as they do going “shopping” at Weis, sitting in the “cockpit”, and “driving” the fire truck. After visiting other children’s museums while on vacation, I am always reminded of how lucky we are to have this great asset in Binghamton for the community to enjoy.

As a member of the Board of Directors for the past three years, and the Treasurer for the past year, it has been enlightening to understand the inner workings of the Museum, the people that help to make the Museum thrive, and to gain a better understanding of how important it is to the community. Through the challenging times that 2020 has brought us, it is more important now than ever to support the Museum to ensure its longevity for families to enjoy for years to come. I look forward to reading (and to having my kids the pick the books I’ll be reading) and hope you’ll consider making a financial gift to this community treasure!
